Our Snow Peak Golden adoption process is designed to ensure you get a healthy, well-socialized puppy with full support every step of the way.
Getting on the List: Once we confirm a pregnancy, we contact potential families to request a $500 deposit, which secures your spot and lets you specify your preference for a male or female puppy.
Puppy Arrival: When the litter arrives, we notify everyone on our waitlist. During these first few weeks, we focus entirely on mom and babies, so we ask for patience as we may be less responsive while providing round-the-clock care.
Weekly Updates: Once everyone is settled, we provide weekly updates through Instagram and direct communication, sharing photos and progress reports of your future companion.
What's Included: Every Snow Peak Golden puppy comes with a vet health exam from Aumsville Clinic, complete health records, first vaccinations, deworming at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks, AKC Limited Registration, and lifetime support from us.
Selection Day: At 6 weeks old, we schedule puppy selection appointments in deposit order. This is also when puppies receive their first shots and final health clearance from our veterinarian.
Going Home: Puppies are ready for adoption at 8 weeks old. If you need us to hold your puppy beyond the scheduled pickup date, we charge a $20 daily boarding fee after the first 2 days.
Nutrition Transition: We gradually transition puppies to Science Diet puppy food between 4-5 weeks, supplemented with plain Greek yogurt and unseasoned pumpkin puree to support healthy digestion.
From pregnancy confirmation to bringing your Snow Peak Golden home, the entire process takes about 10-12 weeks, with clear communication and support throughout your journey to welcoming your new family member.
