How to prepare for your puppy:

Before you come to pick up your puppy make sure you have:

  • A way to safely transport a puppy, either with a seat belt tether, harness, crate, etc. Check out our recommendations for car transportation →.

  • If you’re taking a long trip, be sure to carry a water bowl or collapsible bowl for water.

  • You can opt for a car seat cover just in case the puppy has an accident or car sickness.

  • Bring cleaning supplies for puppy accidents.

  • Make sure the person on the name of the Puppy Application is present; if you have someone picking up for you, please fill out a Puppy Transporter Form → with the name and details of the transporter or family member.

  • Bring treats and create positive and loving associations with you and your family from the start.
